Abney Park inspired Enamel and Silver Drop earrings Eleanor Watson (c) 2020 Oxidised silver and Vitreous enamel
  • SOLD Mustard and Granite - drop earrings - Abney Park Collection 2020

(SOLD: but if you would like me to make you a pair, please be in contact and I will get to work! Please allow 3 weeks for any custom order. Thank you.)

I have a fascination with lichens, the colours and the way they grow on stone so very slowly. Microcosms of reciprocal synergy, interdependent organisms existing with each other and for each other's benefit. We have a lot to learn from them! I particularly like the colours of lichens on gravestones and rocks by the sea. The mustards, yellows and oranges against the granite of boulders. I have tried to capture some of these elements in this pair of my hand enamelled earrings.

The silver stud is hand patterned, and measures 12mm x 10mm.

The mustard enamelled copper drop is 20mm long x 15mm wide.

Total length of the earrings: 30mm

Supplied with 2 x sterling silver butterflies

A classic colour combination, and a unique handmade gift!

Your earrings will be gift boxed, ready to give. Postage and packing are included in the price in the UK only. I will send these First Class, Royal Mail, recorded delivery.

    • Care instructions

Enamel is glass fired onto to a metal surface, in this instance to copper. It is therefore fragile and these earrings should not be dropped on any hard surface or the enamel may chip or crack.

To clean the silver, please use a soft silver polishing cloth. Do not put the whole earring into silver cleaning solution as this may adversely affect the surface of the enamel making it cloudy or causing it to lose its shine.

      Thank you.
