My current collection, "Gather, river, breath" is inspired by my love of narrow boating, and living near the river. The cycle of evening mist to morning frosts, to early dew and rain and their colours are reflected in this range of oxidised silver jewellery with semi precious gems.
The stones I use highlight the colours of lichens, mosses and other "fruiting bodies" living slow lives where they have always lived. The yearning for a calm existence!
The oxidised silver adds an industrial edge, reflected from the ironwork of the Victorian wrought iron bridges, industry on the water, and nature living alongside each other, cheek by jowl.
Made from my own design, these are my hand-made oxidised sterling silver long dangle earrings with mustard jasper droplets.
Each earring has 5 tiny dangles and one large cushion cut Labradorite bead. , simple and elegant design, with gentle movement.
