Our Fused Glass workshops are designed to introduce participants to techniques and methods of working with glass. With Fused Glass, layers of glass are melted together to create a cohesive artwork or practical and useful vessels for your home. You will be led through step by step by our tutors (with over 20 years experience) and guided and encouraged to explore your own ideas as well as being shown a wide variety of possible techniques to try.
The process involves selecting and cutting colorful glass pieces, arranging them in a desired design, and then fusing them in a kiln. This hands-on experience allows you to engage with materials, learning to cut and combine glass to see your own designs come to life. Once fired they can also be slumped into 3 dimensional forms before being collected or posted to you after the course.
